Colour is Emotion?

Today I bought the new Alex Webb & Rebecca Norris Webb book “on Street Photography and the Poetic Image” and one chapter heading popped out at me – Colour is Emotion. I’m a fan of colour photographs, and this is the heart of the matter for me – Colour has a visceral impact that coveys the feeling of a pace in a way that the abstracted nature of B&W work never quite matches. A couple of examples where the colour is vital to the mood, even if it’s not shouty bright colour…
