Now that I have my A7r back I’m playing around with the Contax 90/2.8 I bought in the summer, but never got much time with due to the damned camera dying on me. It’s a great time to get out there with a camera since, for me there is something magical about mid winter sunlight in the UK. The sun is always low enough to rake across the surface of things and pick everything out.
My wife and I went for a long walk down the canals of East London and this view from the edges of the olympic park looking back towards Hackney Wick was one of the loveliest views of the day. Taken at 2pm, yet the sun is low enough to just wash across the surface.
